Irvington, VA — Audiences in Irvington, VA will have a special opportunity this April to experience WATCHING MR. PEARSON, the debut feature from Chesapeake region–raised writer/producer Simon Kincade, when the film screens locally beginning April 17.

An emotional, warmly comedic, and deeply human drama about aging, memory, and the healing power of storytelling, WATCHING MR. PEARSON stars Hugo Armstrong as a once-famous actor slipping into the fog of dementia. The film follows his final attempt to reconnect with the world through performance—and the unexpected friendship that makes it possible.

Kincade co-wrote the screenplay with writer-director Dillon Bentlage and produced the film alongside Bentlage and Brian Reilly for KT Pictures, and Samantha Valletta for Hedy Films.

The film will screen at Compass Cinemas in Irvington from April 17–23, with Simon Kincade and director/co-writer Dillon Bentlage appearing in person for special opening day Q&A’s on Friday, April 17 (Select screenings).

As a filmmaker from small-town Maryland, I am beyond thrilled to bring Watching Mr. Pearson to the Chesapeake Bay region this April,” said Kincade. “Growing up, I dreamed of making movies and bringing recognition to a part of the country I saw as incredibly special and often overlooked. Watching Mr. Pearson carries the same compassionate and diverse spirit of the people who call this region home. I am honored to be exhibiting the film in the area where I grew up, and I look forward to connecting with audiences who, whether they know it or not, helped make this story possible.”
