James C. Jones Jr., a Christiansburg businessman who hid his $14.5 million fortune from tax collectors, was sentenced Tuesday to six and half years in prison.
A federal jury convicted Jones last November of corruptly obstructing the Internal Revenue Service, evading taxes and six counts of filing false tax returns from 2013 to 2018.
