The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority is losing its third executive in four months, leaving the semi-independent authority with no women in the top leadership or its board of directors.

Vida Williams resigned this month as chief digital and branding officer, the first person to serve in that role as part of a push to modernize the 89-year-old alcoholic beverage control operation in the digital age.
