FREDERICKSBURG – Bridge maintenance work on the Robert O. Norris Bridge begins next week.
Starting Monday, March 30, Route 3 travelers can expect brief overnight delays crossing the bridge over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties.
Between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., through Saturday, April 2, a portion of the bridge will be reduced to a single travel lane. Automated flagging devices will direct traffic through the work zone. Flagging crew members operate the devices, which can be rapidly adjusted to respond to congestion or incidents on the bridge.
Lane closures have been scheduled, weather permitting.
