Police report that a 22 year old Northumberland county man was fatally shot on Monday evening.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office investigators say that 20 year-old Sevin Shykim Noel of Lottsburg was arrested early this morning in connection with the shooting death of 22 year-old Nickolas Van’jor Chinn of Jessie DuPont Road in Northumberland County. Noel is facing three felony charges and is currently being held in Lancaster County Jail.
The shooting took place on Shore Drive and Lancaster Creek Drive in the Lancaster Shores subdivision around 8pm Monday.
The investigation still continues into what led to the event. The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Kilmarnock Police and the Virginia State Police.
