Goochland County Fire and Rescue responded at 6:33 a.m. Tuesday after a medium-sized dog fell about 30 feet into an abandoned well in the woods.
According to Goochland Fire and Rescue’s Facebook page, the canine named Gibbs was found in the well, which is in the woods behind the family’s home.
