Fire units from all of Middlesex County, Gloucester County, Essex County and even White Stone Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of Middlesex Metals early Sunday morning at around 3:45am.
Fire crews were dealing with a dynamic and challenging incident involving a large area with multiple types of materials burning.
Fire officials reported that the scene officially was placed under control around 7:30am early Sunday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
