The nurse accused of abusing a baby at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital will receive a mental health evaluation, after a prosecutor said there is evidence the nurse has a problem with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Erin Strotman, 26, will remain in Henrico County jail for at least the next three weeks. A judge heard arguments in a bond hearing Wednesday but did not rule on whether Strotman can be released before her trial.
