Warsaw, Virginia – On Tuesday, November 7th, mother, businesswoman, and community leader Hillary Pugh Kent secured victory in the race for Virginia’s 67th House of Delegates District, encompassing the counties of King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond, Westmoreland, and Caroline (part) – receiving nearly 65% of the vote.

“It is with sincerest appreciation and gratitude, I say thank you to the constituents and voters of District 67 for your support and vote,” said Kent about the victory. “To everyone who put a yard sign in your yard, came to an event, or spread the word about my campaign, I am so appreciative! I am honored to be your representative as the next Delegate to the Virginia House of Delegates. I am ready and look forward to getting to work!”

Kent is a well-known member of the Northern Neck community as someone who was born, raised, and still lives in Richmond County. She has pledged to continue the tradition of strong, conservative leadership focused on strengthening local businesses, defending law enforcement protecting parental rights, and preserving our way of life.

“I also want to recognize and thank Delegate Margaret Ransone for her decade of tremendous leadership and service to our Commonwealth and our community,” concluded Kent.

Kent will take the oath of office and begin her initial two-year term in the House of Delegates on the first day of the 2024 General Assembly session in Richmond on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
