Hundreds of bills raced to stay alive, including a measure to cut Virginians’ power bills and another that would give employees paid time off for family emergencies.
Tuesday was the last day for each chamber of the General Assembly to act upon bills they created.
Also, a fiercely debated online gambling bill was killed, and then revived, prompting one lawmaker to dub it Frankenstein’s monster.
