Local Business Owner “Ronnie” Jett Passed

Longtime Northumberland County Board of Supervisor and seafood business owner Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Jett passed away on Saturday, August 5^th.  The 70 year old Jett was the owner of Smith Point Seafood and Cockrell’s Creek Seafood and Deli in Reedville.  Jett served on the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors for almost 28 years, and was chairman 18 years.  Viewing will be held on Monday, August 14^th from 5 to 8pm at the Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 15^th at 2pm.
