A Memorial Day Service will be held in Tappahannock this Monday May 25th.
The program which will be hosted by the Franklin Durham-Essex Post 64 of the American Legion and the Woman’s Club of Essex County is set to begin at 10am. JROTC units from both Rappahannock and King & Queen High Schools will perform a ritual relating to the passing of veterans from each of the six branches of service. Due to rain, the event will be moved to the American Legion building on Airport Road in Tappahannock.
