A multitude of legislations that lawmakers introduced during the General Assembly this year will go into effect next month after Governor Spanberger signed them into law.  These measures will be enacted on July 1.  The minimum wage will increase to $13.75 per hour by January 1, 2027, and then to $15 an hour by January 1, 2018.  Another new law prohibits anyone from livestreaming while driving a car on the highways in the Commonwealth.
