The Town of Warsaw will be getting a new chief of police.
According to the Warsaw Town Manager the Warsaw Town Council voted not to reappoint Trey Blake as the Warsaw Chief of Police.
Warsaw Town Manager Joseph Quesenberry said that Trey Blake was appointed Chief of Police in January of 2023 and that the Warsaw Town Council chose to terminate his employment contract at the regular meeting in February.
Because this is an appointed position, the person who holds this job serves at the pleasure of the town council. An extensive search for a replacement was made. There were 40 applicants who applied and one has been selected and the new Chief will be announced at the April 11th Warsaw Town Council meeting.
