There is still no scheduled debate for governor about a month before early voting begins, but on Friday, the candidates for attorney general agreed to an October debate sponsored by the Virginia State Bar.
The candidates for governor seem to be gravitating toward a possible debate at Norfolk State University.
In Virginia’s recent campaigns for governor, the leading candidates have debated two to four times. Both current candidates for governor declined debate invitations in recent days.
