Northumberland Public Library received awards at the Virginia Public Library Directors conference in Harrisonburg Virginia on March 20th.

The awards, given by the Virginia Public Library Directors Association are chosen by members of the association and based on the size of the population served. NPL won an award for the Best Outstanding Program/Event/Class for Adults for libraries serving a population of 0-25,000. This award honors the work that went into expanding computer classes for adults through community partnerships, providing instructional resources in asynchronous ways, and providing refurbished devices to participants.
