Virginia Commonwealth University classes were canceled Monday morning after a widespread power failure left hundreds of buildings on and around the school’s Monroe Park campus without power.
The power outage, which was the result of a Dominion Energy substation failure, affected over 1,300 homes, businesses and other buildings, according to the company.
