Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is seeking experienced welders interested in sharing their skills and helping prepare students for careers in welding and metal fabrication.

The part-time adjunct instructor positions offer skilled professionals an opportunity to put their industry experience to work in the classroom and welding shop while helping address the demand for trained workers.

RCC is looking for individuals with considerable welding experience, knowledge of shop safety and metal fabrication, and experience with one or more of the following welding processes: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a strong interest in helping others develop practical skills. Teaching experience is helpful but hands-on industry knowledge is central to the opportunity.

Welding adjunct instructors earn $30 per hour and help students build the technical skills needed to pursue employment and industry-recognized credentials.

RCC encourages experienced welders, welding supervisors, fabricators, and other qualified professionals to consider teaching. The College also welcomes referrals from local employers and industry partners who know someone who would make an excellent instructor.
