The U.S. military service academies are some of the most prestigious and rewarding universities in the country. Acceptance to these academies differ from the application process of other universities and have additional application requirements, including a nomination letter from a Member of Congress or the Vice President, and making it through the nomination stage before being accepted to an academy.
To ensure you have the information you need to apply to West Point, the Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, or Merchant Marine Academy, Rep. Rob Wittman’s office is hosting a Service Academy Day at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond on September 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. During the event, students will receive a comprehensive overview of the U.S. service academies and their corresponding admission processes. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with officials from the academies and ask questions.
