Fairfax Supervisor Pat Herrity, one of two Republicans seeking the party’s nomination for lieutenant governor, has dropped out of the race due to health concerns following heart surgery last month.
John Reid, a longtime conservative talk show host on Richmond’s WRVA radio, is now the Republican nominee by default.
The GOP ticket is now set — with Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears for governor, Reid for lieutenant governor and incumbent Jason Miyares seeking a second term as attorney general.
