A local postal worker was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison after prosecutors say he stole nearly $1.6 million worth of checks out of mail routed through Richmond’s distribution center.

Court records show Joshua Lee, 28, of North Chesterfield, last year pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of bank fraud in connection with a scheme officials say unfolded between July 2023 and May 2025.
