For the second time in the last ten days, a young child has drowned.
Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies, along with other authorities responded to a call reporting the drowning in the Greenvale Road area near Mollusk around 4pm on Friday afternoon. The child and its parents were visiting friends in the area. Authorities have not released any information about the child that died.
This is the area’s second drowning of a small child within the last 10 days. The other drowning occurred in Westmoreland County.
