For the second time in four days, an apparent homicide victim has been found in the Sparta area of Caroline County.
Caroline Sheriff Scott Moser said the latest discovery is 18-year-old Jayden Michael McComber of Hopewell, who had been reported missing on Friday. McComber’s body was found in a pond near the Caroline/King and Queen County line.
The McComber discovery came in part as the result of the ongoing investigation into the death of a still-unidentified woman whose remains were found Friday on property along Bagby Road, about five miles away from where McComber was found.
