Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Caren Merrick is leaving state government, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced.
His announcement gives no reason or date for her departure. She did not respond when asked why she is leaving.
Youngkin appointed chief deputy secretary of commerce Juan Pablo Segura to succeed Merrick.
