Senate Democrats on Tuesday scuttled the entire tax relief package Gov. Glenn Youngkin proposed.
They voted to kill his plan for tax credits to offset the cost of the local car tax for some Virginians and set aside his push for a deduction of tips from taxable state income in favor of broader tax relief they promised in the budget they will unveil on Sunday.
