Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger will replace the head of Virginia’s largest police agency, who has been on the job for less than a year, according to an announcement from her transition team on Monday morning.
Spanberger intends to replace Virginia State Police Superintendent Col. Matthew Hanley with former Chesterfield Police Chief Jeffrey Katz.
