The plan was to certify results of the April 21 redistricting special election on Friday, but the State Board of Elections didn’t because of a Tazewell County judge’s order telling them not to.
Virginians voted 51.7% to 48.3% for new maps designed to return 10 Democrats and one Republican to the U.S. House of Representatives. Currently, six Democrats and five Republicans represent Virginia in Congress.
