Virginia consumers aren’t happy about their financial outlook, as wages struggle to keep up with rising prices for fuel and groceries, according to a new Roanoke College survey that shows little optimism about the economy.
Consumer sentiment, measured by current conditions and future expectations, plunged in the latest survey, which the college conducted last month among 574 Virginians across the state.
