The state health department has named a new director for the Office of Emergency Medical Services, the department’s latest effort to turn around a troubled office.
Maria Beermann-Foat was hired this week to lead the office, which distributes funds to rescue squads and fire departments across the state. The office has suffered from years of misspending and embezzlement.
