United Ministries of Westmoreland County (UMWC) is a new not-for-profit coalition of churches, community agencies and organizations, and volunteers who have banded together to serve county residents’ unmet medical and housing needs. Primed with seed money from a generous Jessie Ball DuPont Foundation grant, the coalition will provide direct services to Westmoreland County residents.
UMWC’s Vision: “We are committed to ensuring housing security and wellness among the residents of Westmoreland County, VA.”
UMWC’s Mission: “We provide assistance and referrals to Westmoreland County’s individuals and families in two identified areas of need: housing and healthcare
The Jessie Ball DuPont Foundation’s mission is to support community-based projects that provide opportunity and create inclusive growth for community organizations serving needy populations.
