Virginia Commonwealth University has a green light to purchase the Altria Center for Research and Technology building in downtown Richmond, after Gov. Glenn Youngkin approved the move Monday.
The university intends plans to buy the nine-story, 450,000-square-foot facility at 600 E. Leigh St. and use it for research and academics.
