Work is underway in the Town of Warsaw as VDOT is installing a new “road diet” traffic pattern on Route 360, Richmond Road. There are also projects beginning in Matthews and King and Queen.

You may encounter brief delays in Warsaw between 8pm and 5 am, where the four-lane road is being restriped to have one lane for through travel in each direction and a two-way left turn lane in the center. These temporary markings are being installed ahead of the scheduled milling and resurfacing of Route 360 in October.

Starting today Sept. 9, VDOT will close Route 621, Bruington Road, between Route 14 and Route 360 at the bridge over Dickeys Swamp in King & Queen county for repairs. This is one of multiple bridges undergoing repair as part of the $3.1 million bridge maintenance project in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula areas to address structure scour. The posted detour route is approximately 13 miles. Weather permitting, the road will reopen in mid-December.

Also starting today, VDOT will prohibit left turns from Route 3, Windsor Road, to Route 14 eastbound in Mathews County with work underway to improve the westbound bridge over Burke Mill Stream. The $5.5 million rehabilitation project began in July to replace the bridge deck, beams, bridge railings, guardrails and asphalt.
