The General Assembly and Gov. Glenn Youngkin should have plenty of money to fight over in the revised budget that the governor will propose next month.
The House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday projected a $3.2 billion state revenue surplus in this fiscal year and the next.
Youngkin already has signaled that he intends to make one last pitch for tax cuts in the revised budget he will introduce on Dec. 18, while the Democratic-led assembly will continue to push for additional investments in K-12 schools, higher education and health care.
