irginia is investing more than $122 million in rural healthcare programs with money coming from funds set aside for rural healthcare in last year’s big federal tax and budget bill.
The money will expand remote patient monitoring systems, mobile clinics and maternal care programs, and will hire paramedics in rural communities.
In addition, the money will fund efforts to create new ways for people to work in healthcare in rural Virginia, including apprenticeships.
