The bid to legalize skill games that has been put on a fast track in the state Senate was derailed on Friday when a special House of Delegates panel gutted the House version of the Senate bill.
Del. Paul Krizek, D-Fairfax, submitted a 70-plus page replacement to the House version of this year’s Senate bill to legalize the games, with significantly higher license fees and taxes and stricter oversight of the machines’ operations.
