A new exhibit at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture explores how immigrants have shaped — and continue to shape — Virginia’s cultural identity.
Titled “We The People: The World in Our Commonwealth” and part of the VMHC 250 initiative, the exhibit offers a personal perspective on immigration to Virginia from 1776 to today.
The exhibition shares the stories of people born in 68 different countries, tracing their journeys of risk, adaptation and transformation.
