Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Wednesday vetoed a series of criminal law bills, including measures aimed at protecting people in a mental health crisis and a measure expanding the credits convicts can invoke for early release from prison.
Youngkin vetoed 22 bills and signed 36 more — including House Bill 688, sponsored by Del. Jay Leftwich, R-Chesapeake, which allows sales of cocktails-to-go to continue permanently.
