After at least eight students from a single Loudoun County high school overdosed last month, Gov. Glenn Youngkin issued an executive order Wednesday night directing the Virginia Department of Education to “take immediate action regarding overdoses in Virginia’s public schools.”
The order directs the Department of Education to require school divisions to notify parents of school-connected overdoses within 24 hours.
