The first two bills in Gov. Glenn Youngkin‘s high-profile bid to limit the mental health impact of social media on Virginia’s youth died in a House of Delegates subcommittee on Monday.
House Bill 1115, sponsored by Del. Keith Hodges, R-Middlesex, would have barred social media firms from implementing designs and features that tend to keep children and teenagers online for hours.
