Effective today July 1, the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School has a new director. Dr. Jason Strong of Warsaw replaces Dr. Rachel Ball who served as director for the past 2 and a half years.
Dr. Strong had been the principal of Richmond County Elementary and Middle School since it opened in 2015.
The CBGS serves the Northern Neck and Middle-Peninsula Counties in addition to New Kent. It offers students programs on the campuses of Rappahannock Community College at Glenns, Warsaw and Bowling Green.
