LANCASTER – At 10:08 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 10700 block of Courthouse Road in Lancaster.
A 2001 Honda sedan traveling south on Courthouse Road ran off the right side of the road, overturned, and struck a utility pole.
The driver and sole occupant, Jseric Khari Jones, 18, of Lottsburg, was entrapped in the vehicle. Rescue personnel extricated Jones, and he was transported to Rappahannock General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The preliminary investigation indicates speed contributed to the crash. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
