KING GEORGE – Virginia State Police investigated a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred at 12:09 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at the intersection of Kings Highway and Ridgeway Drive in King George County.
The preliminary investigation indicates a 2011 Ford Focus was traveling east on Kings Highway when a van approaching from a stop sign on Ridgeway Drive failed to yield the right of way and collided with the Ford.
The driver of the Ford, Harold Edwin Love, 74, of Colonial Beach, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
This crash remains under investigation.
