There was at least one Virginia resident on the cruise ship that experienced a deadly hantavirus outbreak. But officials with the state health department say they believe the risk to the general public is low.
The Virginia resident disembarked the ship before the outbreak was identified and has returned home, the Virginia Department of Health said. The person has not displayed symptoms and is being monitored.
