On the first day of Pride Month, advocates for Virginia’s LGBTQ+ community launched a statewide campaign urging voters to approve a constitutional amendment this fall that would enshrine the right to same-sex marriage in the state constitution.
The amendment, if approved by voters this fall, would repeal the ban on same-sex marriage in Virginia’s constitution that voters backed in a 2006 referendum.
