What Virginians see when they walk into convenience stores could change after two bills sailed through the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee on Monday.
One bill, SB212, would legalize skill games — the electronic slot machine-like devices the General Assembly tried to ban in 2020. The Virginia Supreme Court upheld that ban late last year. The other, SB550, would crack down on illicit vaping products that take up a growing share of space on many store tobacco shelves.
