A vehicle fire on Interstate 64 Thursday sparked a brush fire on Afton Mountain that had spread into Shenandoah National Park by press time Thursday evening.
Local, state and federal authorities, including some from the nearly contained 4,000-acre Quaker Run Fire in Madison County, were on the scene working to limit the spread of what was being called the Royal Orchard Fire late Thursday.
