There’s still a path forward for a retail marijuana market that could include Virginia’s still-up-for-negotiations budget, say the sponsors of the vetoed bills, who are both members of General Assembly budget-writing committees.
Legislators are due back in Richmond later this month to try to resolve an impasse between the House of Delegates and the state Senate on the state’s spending plan for the next two years.
