Richmond, Virginia – Delegate Hillary Pugh Kent and local watermen recently traveled to Richmond to meet with Governor Youngkin to witness the signing of HB 928. The group of commercial watermen and industry members, including the Virginia Waterman’s Association, Ocean Harvesters and Twin Rivers Waterman’s Association, discussed the importance of HB 928, the Right to Fish bill with the Governor and members of his administration. Kent said, “this law recognizes the importance of our state’s seafood industry by creating protections for commercial watermen and deterring unlawful interference.” In addition, Kent presented signed copies of the bill signed by Governor Youngkin, Lt. Governor Winsome Sears and Speaker Don Scott.
