The Town of Kilmarnock Office building is the newest site for a Good News Pantry. Councilwoman Rebecca Nunn, Chair of Streets, Sidewalks, and Park, proposed the idea of a Good News Pantry to the Town Council after seeing one at the Oncology Center of RGH. “I hope everyone including non-Kilmarnock residences feel welcomed in using this addition,” Stated Councilwoman Nunn.

The purpose of the Good News Pantry is to provide donated food to people in need. Anyone is welcome to come and take canned goods, dry goods, and toiletries from the box. In partnership with White Stone Church of the Nazarene, who will be the main source of stocking items, donations can still be made by dropping them at the Town Office. Food donated must have a long shelf-life, and must be able to sit in cold and hot temperatures.  “White Stone Church of the Nazarene is always looking for new ways to help our community and we all were excited to step in and help with the Good News Pantry,” stated William Smith.

The Good News Pantry is located at the Town Office behind the building off of W. Church Street. It is now open and stocked. If you would like to donate items, please drop them off inside the Town Office.
