Rep. Jennifer McClellan, D-4th, introduced bipartisan legislation late last year that aims to increase short-term child care access during pregnancy and the postpartum period for mothers who already have children.
Ahead of markup and a committee vote, McClellan and her staff are aiming to increase awareness around maternal health issues and build coalition support around the bill.
